LEND YOUR HANDS TO HELP OUR PUBLIC LANDS!
Please join Sustainable Fort Bragg on Wednesday, September 24 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to celebrate National Public Lands Day.
We will be hosting a clean-up of Mott Lake, which is a 29 acre fishing lake and recreation area on the southeastern boundary of Fort Bragg.
Volunteers from military units, Civilians and members of the community are encouraged to participate.
Volunteers should bring gloves, drinking water, insect repellant and sunscreen.
National Public Lands Day is the largest single-day volunteer effort to benefit the public lands in the United States. Last year, more than 175,000 volunteers nationwide celebrated at over 2,000 public land sites in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Guam. The events serve to educate Americans about the importance of natural resources and environmental stewardship, build partnerships between community agencies and improve public lands for recreation.
